After seeing Audrey Hepburn prance around in them in Funny Face, wannabe gamines immediately jettisoned their heels. Ballet flats have enjoyed a renaissance in the past few years, thanks in large part to fancy, flashy versions from designers such as Lanvin and Tony Burch.
